Personal Reflection
A gentle, creative way to be witnessed in your grief.
Grief asks to be seen, not solved. Sometimes, all we need is to share a small piece of our story and have it received with care.
The Personal Reflection is an invitation to pause, to put something of your experience into words (or image), and to be gently witnessed. You’ll share your reflections through a few simple prompts, and I’ll reply personally: offering a short video reflection, insight, and one small creative prompt to carry forward.

What It Is
Personal Reflection from Grief Coach and Author Charlene Lam
You’ll receive a short form where you can share what feels most present right now:
- What’s been on your heart, what feels heavy
- What you’ve noticed and would like to name
- If you’ve been reading my book, attended my calls or workshops, or otherwise engaged with my Curating Grief work, anything you’d like to share for personal feedback
I’ll spend time with what you share: my attention fully on your share, my brain on your pain, my heart on your hurt. Then I’ll record a 5-10min personalized video for you.
In it, I’ll offer:
- Gentle reflection on what I see and feel in your words
- A small insight or reframe through the lens of my Curating Grief approach
- One creative or contemplative prompt to deepen your own process
You’ll receive your video reply within 2-3 business days.

WHY THIS MATTERS
So often, grievers tell me they wish someone would simply listen. Really listen, not fix, not look away, not rush them along. This reflection is my way of offering that: a moment of acknowledgment, a creative mirror, a quiet “I see you.”
It’s a small exchange, but it can shift something big.
It can remind you that your grief, your love, your story … they all deserve to be witnessed.
HELLO!
I’m Charlene, grief coach and curator
After my mother died suddenly in 2013, I leaned into my creativity and instincts as a curator to guide myself through grief.
Now I help other people with their grief and experiences of loss. As founder and curator of The Grief Gallery™, I present exhibitions and events about grief and loss, featuring belongings and meaningful objects.
As a certified grief coach, I work 1:1 with individuals, using my Curating Grief framework to help people process grief and loss in a creative, accessible way.
As a speaker, I’ve shared the lens of curating with thousands of grieving people, offering a helpful approach for navigating the practical and emotional aftermath of loss.
